Model takes AVO out on MAFS Rhyce Power after they travel to Thailand

The brother of MAFS star Jessika Power has been banned from contacting his model ex-girlfriend after allegedly assaulting her while on holiday in Thailand.

Rhyce Power, 28, and his then-girlfriend, 24-year-old model Vanessa Sierra, were both in Thailand late last month attending a fitness training camp together.

But things soured and it is alleged the pair had a physical altercation, ending with Ms Sierra packing her bags, heading back to Australia and filing for an intervention order.

Under the Victorian intervention order, which is similar to an apprehended violence order (AVO), the heavily-tattooed carpenter is banned from contacting Ms Sierra.

Power became an Instagram star and was dubbed the ‘hot brother’ after appearing on the reality television show for his sister’s ‘wedding’.

He started dating Ms Sierra just days before his TV debut.

The pair ‘organised a mutual break up’ before the allegations were made, Power claims.

He claims Ms Sierra aired the allegations ‘on the day we did a mutual and approved break-up post’ – which has since been deleted.

Ms Sierra confirmed to Daily Mail Australia the incident did occur on the day of the post, but says the break up was ‘staged’ and the pair were still together.

‘We were still together, and he thought we were still together until I left too,’ she said.

In a lengthy statement shared to Instagram on Wednesday night after the Instagram model landed in Sydney, Power said there was more to the story.

‘There’s always two sides to every story, and everyone needs to believe that,’ he said.

‘Everyone’s jumped on the bandwagon without even hearing my side of the story – which I understand – if a girl makes an allegation about a claim [sic], whether it’s an attractive girl or any girl, everyone’s going to jump on the bandwagon, and I fully understand that.’

Power said he had flown into Sydney on Wednesday.

‘I need to fly to Victoria about the AVO allegations, but according to my ex’s social media posts, she’s in Melbourne,’ he said.

‘I have no intention of making her feel uncomfortable and fly there, so I will wait until she has left the state.

‘I’m hoping New South Wales police will share the allegations and claims with me, and I can take them to court and deal with them appropriately.’

Daily Mail Australia understands Power was served his intervention order via email last Thursday.

As the 28-year-old concluded his statement, he threatened to unearth some of the woman’s dirty laundry.

‘This is me now explaining myself,’ he said as he concluded his video post.

‘I don’t want to drag [Vanessa] through the mud given her past and what she’s done, but if needs be, I have the proof and evidence to do that.’

Ms Sierra told Daily Mail Australia Power failed to turn up at court when the IVO was served, despite being aware of the court date.

‘Rhyce was aware of this when it was pending and did not attend the court hearing when it got served,’ she said.

‘I appreciate the efforts police have made to track him down.

‘There is a second court hearing and I do hope he mans up and attends this one.’

‘A Victorian intervention order (IVO) is nationwide which is why I got it here – there is no need to fly to Melbourne for it to be served’

Power was very critical of his sister’s groom Mick during his first appearance on Married At First Sight.

‘She normally goes for better looking guys.  He’s a bit country bogan-ish. I think Jess can do a lot better than that,’ he told producers.

When the family met Mick for a second time, Power admitted his emotions had gotten the better of him.

‘I did get a little too drunk at the wedding, yeah,’ he said.

‘Me and my dad are very hot tempered people – and it took a lot for us to sit there and take it, but I’m glad we did.’

Daily Mail Australia reached out to Power for further comment, but he declined.
